Partners for a Healthy Baby Textbooks

Center for Prevention & Early Intervention Policy

Partners for a Healthy Baby is a nationally recognized, research-based, practice-informed curriculum used by many home visiting models to improve birth outcomes, reduce rates of child abuse, increase intervals between pregnancies, strengthen families, enhance child health and developmental outcomes, and support family stability and economic self-sufficiency. The Partners curriculum was developed by a highly experienced multi-disciplinary faculty team at Florida State University and designed to support a systematic approach to planning and conducting effective home visits.

In creating these textbooks, I worked with a series of content creators to organize the curriculum into sections based on age by month and development topic. I cross referenced the table of contents, index, appendix, and article links so that the document would automatically update should the information or page orientation change throughout the books. This also made all page references clickable within the e-pub format. I also worked with printers on quotes, product, and turn-around to produce hard copies within the specifications of the client that could generate the expected profit per book.
